Dr. Kellog famous for running Battle Creek Sanitarium.
Enemas of all sorts routinely given to willing patients.
I am not aware of any studies proving physiologic efficancy.
Suffice to say idea never caught on.

W. P. a man @28.
First case in which oxygen enemata employed.
Case of chronic lithiasis.
Abundant deposit of urates & uric acid.
Stubbornly resisted all other remedies.
Dietetic & medicinal for several weeks.
After beginning oxygen treatment:
2 days: deposit disappeared.
6 weeks: only .29 grams.
Less than normal amount found in healthy urine.
